About The Jazzy Gourmet

Pianist/ composer Sherry K attended the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, where she received her degree in piano performance. Following graduation, Sherry traveled extensively across the United States, performing in dinner theatres and theme parks. Beginning in 1991, she served four years as Musical Director at the Round Barn Theater in Nappanee, Indiana, and worked six years as Musical Director at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw, Indiana. All the while, Sherry spent much of her time cooking too, by engaging in many a trial and error, with emphasis on error!

Now a resident of South Bend, Sherry performs solo concerts for churches, women’s groups, festivals, theatres, and various organizations across the country. Two of her original choral musicals have been met with critical acclaim. Recording projects include Westbound, Sunday Best: Hymns and Spirituals Freshly Pressed nd her latest release, Have Yourself A Sherry Little Christmas. Sherry's forte is taking traditional favorite classics and bringing them to life in a new, refreshing, fun fashion. In a similar manner, Sherry has spent time exploring and testing new creations in the kitchen as well. An avid culinary enthusiast, she tweaks traditional favorite classic recipes and gives them a new twist.

In 2008, Sherry's experimentation in unique cuisine was rewarded when she was selected to be a finalist in the Pillsbury Bake-Off, held in Dallas, Texas. Sherry did not win the 1 million dollar prize, but came back with a renewed spirit to combine her 2 passions, cooking and music, and create unique products that others may enjoy as well. Thus, the Jazzy Gourmet was born and here to serve your gift giving needs!
